Overview PAC Eyeshadow, Blush and Brush Cleanser

Hi all!
How's your day?
Hope it's fabulous! :)

So, I went to PAC counter the other day, with a purpose of getting their brush cleanser.

Buut.. end up getting their eyeshadow, blush, and pressed powder as well.
*Oh well >.<'

( FYI : PAC stands for Professional Artist Cosmetics, it's an Indonesian local cosmetics. Or I might think it's like Indonesian version of MAC. >,<" )

*click the picture to go to their official site*

Yup. Since you can see I already swatched and use them, I'm giving my overview and how it look on my face.

PAC Brush Cleanser
Price Tag : IDR. 86000 rupiahs ( around $8.60 US Dollar )
First thought? I knew it contain alcohol, but should they make it like a whiskey bottle? LOL. Actually, It's my first time purchasing alcohol based cleanser. I need it  for cleaning my Sigmax synthetic brush which tend too long to dry. Huff.

When I first open it, it had such a strong overpowering alcohol and fragrance smell to it. *Duh! But seriously, if I smell it too long.. I think I'm gonna passed out! x.x"
It said at the box how to use it --> I just need to pour the amount of liquid that I needed into a container and dip the brush into it. And that's what I did. Because it's an alcohol, so it got DISAPPEAR from my container quite FAST, BEFORE I FINISH WIGGLING MY BRUSH AND GET RID OFF THE STAIN. errmmm.. Lesson learnt : use a bowl or small cup as a container and WORK FAST!

To me, for 240ml or 8.11 fl.oz. amount of product it seem not much considering I need to use a lot to clean a single brush. Also, the overpowering smell transfer into the bristle for quite a while. eugh.

Despite the cons that I already mentioned, it does the function well. What can I say? my brush clean and dry within an hour instead of 2 days. and it promise to kill the bacteria and moisturize the bristle.

PAC Eyeshadow, Blush On and Pressed Powder

Price Tag : IDR. 59000 rupiahs ( around $5.90 US Dollar ) each.

The Swatches
P11 : pressed pearly eyeshadow : soft salmon color with subtle silver shimmer
P06 : pressed pearly eyeshadow : golden bronze
P08 : pressed pearly eyeshadow : deep brown with gold pearl
P10 : pressed pearly eyeshadow : reddish brown
P12 : pressed pearly eyeshadow : plummy color with subtle silver shimmer
B04 : blush on : rosey pink almost purple-ish with shimmer

** I didn't swatch the pressed powder, it matches my skin tone anyway.
FYI, I got it in the color --> 01 Sea Gold **

I've been bothered by the number code as the color name. At least, they could manage to name it with proper name, right? I mean.. I'm not wishing them to name it like NARS or Urban Decay did.
telanjang.. perawan.. dosa.. orgasme.. Okay, I need to stop right now. LOL

P11 is a beautiful highlight color for a brown eyes ( my opinion, off course ). Whenever I applied it on my tear duct area or brow bone, It opens and brightens any tired face that I have. The texture is soo smooth, pigmented, and I don't experience any excessive fall out with it. So far, Loving it!
To me, the winner among the eyeshadow is P06. And that's the main reason why I eventually stuck at the eyeshadow aisle at the counter and pick the other 4 colors. *Oh well. >,<" It got the most beautiful goldish bronze color! at that time I feel like I found another treasure. ( Okey, I've been hyperbole. LOL ) The texture is sooo buttery, easy to blend and crazily pigmented. They did a great job with this! Love it!
I gotta say, P08 and P10 is not the star among the eyeshadow that I got, but it compliment a lot for the other shade. It's the hype girl! Gotta have it, right? hehe..
P12 is such a lovely plummy color with a lot of shimmer in it. Once I tried to applying it on top of P08.. It become the BOMdotCOM. *speechless

Sorry for not displaying a picture when I shut my eyes and see the color on my lid properly. ( I forgot. >,<" ) But all I do is taking the P06 on my lower lash line and all over the lid, P08 on the crease, blend with P10, and put P11 on my tear duct and brow bone. :)

B04 is a blush color. It's funny to me when it came with a same size like eyeshadow (all are in 3.5gr of product) It's funny right? or it's just me who think it's funny? lol. nevermind. However, this blush is crazily pigmented. You really just need to dab a teeny tiny amount of product, tap any excess and apply it softly on your cheeks.

***

That's it my overview.
Let me know what you think!
Good day all!
Smile :)

NOTE: all of the product were purchased by my own money and reviewed by honest thought. It's just my way to give you an opinion in buying product that you considered to purchase. Be a smart buyer! Hope you like my reviews.

Time to Give and Share :)

Hi lovelies,
Happy Holy Thursday :)

In this post, I think I wanna share a little of my experience when me and my friends start to do a charity event about 2 years ago..

Why 2 years ago?
It went back from my high school moments. You know what? to me, high school is the time when I really found all of my best friends for life. And it really hit us when we need to say goodbye after graduation. I feel happy.. but sad at the same time. Each one of us have a different plan in continuing our study. I'm writing this, I got teary in my eyes. hiks :")

Kita cuma bisa nyoba untuk stay connected and keep our friendship tight like we used to have. Ya pastinya ga bakal bisa kaya SMA lagi.. makan, belajar, becanda, bandel, ketawa, seneng, sedih, susah, nyontek (*loh?) selalu bareng. LOL.

you can see more pictures here --> click me!

Panti Asuhan Fioretti
Jalan Raya Kampung Sawah gg.pos 04/01 No.16
Kelurahan Jati Murni, Kecamatan Pondok Melati
Bekasi

Sekilas alasan mengapa kita memilih PA.Taman Fioretti:

I think it's the end of my post today.
I would gladly to hear from you if you want to join this charity event through the funds that we've been collecting. :)

And especially to all my best friends who put their effort to make this charity event keep going strong. You guys teach me how to give and share. :")
I know I've been blessed to have them in my life.

Hope I can spread the message correctly.
Good day all!
Smile :)

diakhiri dengan foto keluarga

LOL. *cheers*

Battle of the Pore Minimizing Scrub : L'oreal Derma- Genesis VS Etude House Baking Powder

I'm into a pore minimizing scrub lately. And I've been searching for the affordable products that I could grab easily. These two brands, however, caught my eyes and decided to give it a try.

Oya, I need to remind a thing. I'm comparing this two brands not because I want to "disgrace" either one of them. It's simply because I purchased these almost at the same time and I just test what works for me the best. It could be different result for you.

It took me about two months just to make sure I get the best result for each of the product. First month just trying the L'oreal, and another month switch to Etude's.

All is simply my honest opinion through my experience :)

L'oreal Derma-Expertise Derma Genesis Pore Minimizing Smoother Scrub 100ml/3.3oz
It claims :
  • Formulated with gentle purifying clay & micro-beads to exfoliate dead skin cells
  • Contains a natural cleansing agent to deeply cleanse skin without affecting its moisture balance
  • Blended with BHA to naturally enhance daily cellular renewal
  • Shrinks pores & refines skin’s texture
  • Skin appears sleeker, brighter & fresher
  • Non-comedogenic, dermatologist-tested
  • To use: Apply daily to damp face & lightly massage in circular motion. Rinse thoroughly, avoid getting into eyes
And you can purchase online at StrawberryNET . link to the product --> click me!
However, you can get it from any L'oreal counter or Watsons, like I do.

Through the packaging, it's just a regular squeeze tube with approximately 16cm tall. It's a decent size for travel or use daily at home. With this, a little goes along the way. You just need a teeny tiny amount of product just to wash the whole face. From the instruction at the back of the package, I assume to use this daily.. and it is. It's a lightweight feel to clean your face whenever you need it.

For the texture, it's like a foam almost like a cream or a paste with a red micro beads which supposed to exfoliate dead skin cells.

From the picture, you can see that this formula is not gonna get foamy, at all. When you mixture with water, it's just gonna get more liquidy texture. For me, it's new. Because I believe it's not gonna dried out your skin like a soap can do. Another challenge from this texture, it's not easily clean with a swipe of water, but you need to keep swiping it off until no more product in your face.

It has a fresh floral scents, not too overwhelming but acceptable for someone who doesn't like strong smell.

I use this almost twice a day for a month. For the result, hmm.. I guess it doesn't do much for me. except having a fresh and clean face after everytime I use it. I gotta tell you, it doesn't change the size of my pores or control the excess oil from all day activity. It pretty much the same as face cleanser. In fact, I still prefer my regular foaming facial wash, Clean & Clear, and it is way  more cheaper.

Etude House Baking Powder Crunch Pore Scrub

It claims :

Baking Powder Crunch Pore Scrub is a scrub cleanser formulated with baking powder to penetrate, exfoliate and cleanse skin deep within pores to remove makeup and residues. Also contains Peppermint to soothe skin.

This product contains 100% natural fragrance, and is dye-free.

Each box contains 24 pouches.
Vol. 7g x 24 pouches = 168g (5.92 fl.oz.)

And you can purchase online at Indonesian multiply market. link to the product --> click me!

This time, I'm taking the traditional way. Baking soda is famous for it's way to shrinken the size of the pores. But I'm just too "skeptical" if I have to put the real baking soda into my face. Hais, I'm scared.. hehehe. So I'm just searching for a product that made to be a facial wash and formulated with baking soda. For coincidence, Etude House made one. And the cute packaging is always a plus for me. ^_____^

It's a triangular shape box filled with the actual product in it, 24 pouches of facial scrub. The pouches also shape triangle, so darn cute! And that is a huge "pro points" for me, in why they made it this way --> This aren't meant to be used daily! It says that "Use it for 1-2 times per week". It meant to deep cleaning your face weekly. ( NOTE : for the regular wash, I'm using Clean & Clear )

For the texture, it's like a foam wash, and I don't see any micro beads like L'oreal does have. But you know when you feel it, it's like the texture of baking soda ( a finer size than a micro beads, almost like sand texture ). And it has a lemony fresh scents.

And for the usage weekly, I got help by this bad boy right here.

no no no! not the squarepants! LOL!

Yup. I believe it help me exfoliate more of my dead skin cells. You can purchase it anywhere at drugstore, I personally bought it at SOGO MKG ( Mal Kelapa Gading ). My face felt really really clean and much smoother. It does help reduce my oiliness in regular day. To be honest, I don't see any different at the size of my pores.

Make me realize that.. You know, there is a word saying, "Pore size is genetic, and there is nothing you can do to make your pores permanently smaller. Do not fall for claims stating a product will reduce your pore size. There are, however, tricks you can employ to temporarily minimize the appearance of pore size."
Here is I found a great article related to :
"Pores and Size: How to Minimize Their Appearance" --> click me!

My Thoughts

Yeap. Maybe you can say from the reading that Etude House Baking Powder Crunch Pore Scrub is the winner to me. And I'm gonna put in the list as my weekly routine.

That's it my review.
Let me know what you think!
Good day all!
Smile :)

Beauty Wishlist : April 2012

Every once in a while, I like to do "wishlist" blog posts to share which products/items I've been lusting over lately. With all of those so many product releases, I'm practically drowning in desire, so I thought I would share which items I'm eyeing the most!

Note: All photos used in this post are official promo images, as I do not physically have the products to photograph myself. If you would like to see actual product photos/swatches, a Google image search will give you an even better idea of what they look like! :)

1. Mary-Lou Manizer from The Balm
I definitely have been eyeing their product for quite a while now! You probably heard about them from their famous Nude Tude Palette, The Bahama Mama Bronzer, Sexy Mama Anti-shine Translucent Powder, or Hot Mama the Blush. But, I feel so desire to have their luminizer (highlighter) called Mary-Lou Manizer. Being a flattering color to a subtle glow to the skin is a must have for me! Yeah, I want it.

picture taken from their official site : the Balm cosmetics

2. Lioele Triple The Solution BB Cream SPF30 PA++
I heard so many good reviews about this. Being a great coverage for oily skin, enough said. I want it. In fact, one of my favourite beauty guru in youtube replacing her Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation with this BB Cream. woah.

3. Precision Kabuki Airbrushed Effect from Bdellium
Geez. Actually, their line caught my eyes when I'm looking for a synthetic makeup brush set. And I got distracted when so many raving about Sigma Sigmax Brush being told that it was the best. Recently, I watch Gossmakeupartist raving about this brush as one of his five amazing makeup product that he LOVE! Damn. I already got Sigma. Should I have more? haha. help me puh-leasee >,<"!

4. MAC Chenman Mineralize Eye Shadow Duo
From the first I saw these, I knew I want it. It is the most gorgeous marble baked colour that I've ever seen. The swatches just made me hype and pumped up. I know, it's crazy. For $20 each, I need to calm myself first. And I just froze my credit card into my freezer. haha jk!
picture taken from their official site : MAC cosmetics

 5. Maybelline Color Tattoo & L'oreal Color Infaillible
By mean of that, I've been wanting to have all of the shades. Crazy? I know. It's my middle name. I just find that all of the color is dangerously divine and vibrant. The quality is also being raved. While Maybelline Color Tattoo has 10 gorgeous shades, L'oreal Color Infaillible has 9 stunning shades ( I believe they have more shades, but this top nine shades is the first released in fall/summer 2011. And then they released more shades in winter/holiday 2011. The color range is 1-27 with various range of colors ) . If I had all of that, I'd post all of the swatches.. in my face. Not kidding. :P

Well there you have it. My current beauty wishlist!
