Review + Swatches : Silkygirl Blushing Trio in 01 Rosy Peach

Hi bubblies!
How's your day?
Hope you are all looking so fabulous! :D

This is a review for my *hint hint* recent favorite blush at the moment, girlss! wii~~
which is :
"Silkygirl Blushing Trio in 01 Rosy Peach"

.  lighting under natural day sunlight .

As far as I know, this is silkygirl's new product. They earlier come up with single blush, duo blush, and now a trio blush. Where there are 3 color choices and mixes in one compact.

Are you new to Silkygirl stuff? I already love some of their products, I think they really have an overall good quality products with such a bargain price.
Oya, feel free to check some of my reviews for Silkygirl items here --> click me!

And I just knew. If you consider to purchase anything from this line, the best price ( if you live in Jakarta ) is in Matahari Dept. Store, Mal Taman Anggrek. They have a small standing counter there. I bought some of mine in other malls, and they are sooo overprice! #sebel
Learn from my mistake, girlsss~~ >,<" lol.

☆☆☆ The Packaging ☆☆☆
.  lighting under natural day sunlight .

The packaging is pretty simple. It's a lightweight plastic packaging with clear transparent cover on top. You may get to see the true color on the pan, but there is no mirror there.

You may get a tiny applicator along in this compact, as a blush brush. And heyy, to my surprise.. it works! Haha.. Well, for emergency on the go, I think it's not too bad. Because once I've tried to use it, the bristle is soft enough, it picked up colors, and the bristle is a limp & long type to blend any harsh line. quite good! ^^

At the back of the packaging, it's written all the info and the ingredients list as well. Just click on the picture above to zoom in ^^

☆☆☆ The Colors ☆☆☆

.  lighting under natural day sunlight .

As you can see, the colors have 3 shades that you can play or mixed match with. They are medium, light, and darker in peachy rose family. The bottom part or the lightest color is more on the shimmery side, while the rest are matte finishes. It's good right? It could be a highlighter to put on top your cheekbone. Or.. just swirl all the color together to give a radiant and healthy glowing blush finishes.

.  lighting under room light .
*finishes :
top : matte
middle : matte
bottom : shimmery

☆☆☆ The Swatches ☆☆☆
.  lighting againts natural day sunlight .

.  lighting under room light .
all of the swatches above are in 2-3 swipes

☆☆☆ The Texture & Pigmentation ☆☆☆

The texture is rather chalky in my opinion. You'll gonna deal will lots of fall out! So, gotta beware of that >,<"  But they blend easily, and spread nicely on the skin.

I swirl all of the colors with the blush brush it given.

Tap off any excess.

See all that crumble in the pan? >,<"

But to my other liking, the color is buildable. It began sheer, but I rather to build them up than to leaving with some chunk of hot mess on my face! lol. It is a natural flushed color on the cheek. Definitely one of my fave color and love the finishes as well ^^

☆☆☆ The Staying Power ☆☆☆

The staying power is what I called awesome. Haha.. You're still gonna see the flushed color on your cheeks for the entire day! I even think the color is looking a lot darker and blend with my skintone more than when I put it at first. I don't know.. maybe because it oxidize a little bit on my cheeks? I'm not sure about that. >,<" But I love the result it given ^^ <3

Overall look on my face :

***

All in All..
To me, it's definitely worth to try. With only IDR. 50000 rupiahs or around $ 5 US Dollars, you'll getting a good flushed healthy color on the cheeks that works for everyday use. The staying power is good.. or I may say awesome! :P So yeah, better check this one out if you stop by to any Silkygirl counter near you ^^

♦♦♦ Review + Swatches : Silkygirl Blockbuster Color Palette in No.5 Smokey Charm ♦♦♦

Hi bubblies!
How's your day?
Hope you're having a fabulous one! :D

So, here's the eyeshadow quad that I promised to make a full review of.
Once I use it on my previous tutorial post --> here :)

To start with, maybe I did a mistake earlier in naming this quad.
From the packaging itself, it's just titled with a Blockbuster Color Palette that I thought that would be the exact name for this color choices. But after do some research for this full review post, I just knew that the range of all this eyeshadow quad is a Blockbuster Color Palette.
And for this exact color choices, they called it..
"No.5 Smokey Charm"
*woops. I guess I did a pretty good job in knowing the exact makeup look before knowing the use of this shades for! lol*

there you go -____-"

******************************************************************************
here's some info from their official website http://silkycosmetics.com/eyes.html

Blockbuster Color Palette With the all-new Blockbuster Color Palette, adding drama to your eyes is so easy. It includes an interesting selection of pigment-rich eye shadows from classic neutrals to bright funky colors – you can create any look that you desire The Blockbuster Color Palette is sure to guarantee you eyes-cellent performance.

  The Packaging
The packaging is just a lightweight plastic material. Clear on top and glossy opaque black as the base. The length & width for the compact are 7x5 cm. thickness 1,2 cm.

They also include the sponge tip applicator there.

Also a bonus tutorial in a way you can use the colors.

The Ingredients

  The Swatches

no primer. no base. lighting under day sun light.

no primer. no base. lighting against day sun light.

no primer. no base. lighting indoor room light.

As you can see, they all have the same finishes which is a sheer satin and not so opaque pigmentation as you would imagine from the pan. For all the swatches above I need 2-3 swipes to achieve that color pay off.

The texture is more on the powdery side. You would experience an excessive fall out for picking them up with a brush in the pan.

For the staying power, is just decent to me. It will fade or become dull within 4-5 hours ( I would say ) on my eyelid, if I don't use any primer or base underneath.

All in all..
This quad is good, but not that great. I like the color combination so much, that's why it's still a good purchase for me. I still can create a subtle smokey look or just an everyday laid back look with this quad alone.

Bought for IDR. 86000 rupiahs ( around $ 8.60 US Dollars ) at Guardian, Mal Kelapa Gading.

♦♦♦ FOTD : Blockbuster Eyes [ including Step by Step Picture Tutorial! :D ] ♦♦♦

Hi bubblies!
How's your day?
Hope you're doing awesome!

Maybe the title kind of confuse you?
haha.. please don't be. >.<"
It's because I've been trying out and playing around with this eyeshadow quad from Silkygirl called Blockbuster

I promise the quad will be up for my full review soon ya ^^

<< UPDATE >>
♦♦♦ Review + Swatches : Silkygirl Blockbuster Color Palette in No.5 Smokey Charm ♦♦♦

Meanwhile, I've been keeping it for quite sometime now. But just recently got into the zone to play with it. When I bought it in the first place, I knew that the color would be a perfect suit to create a sultry smokey eye!

I just had one time to play with it until now and knew exactly what I would normally wear using the color combination in the quad. Of course you can be creative and create tons of look using this quad alone.
In the meantime, this is my one typical-I-would-normally-wear look that I manage to come up with using all the colors in the palette.

  Unto The Tutorial

To make it easier to look at, I'll just categorized my makeup done in 3 big parts.

But as the star of the show, let me introduce you a bit to the colors in the quad.
( top to bottom )
A = let's just call it yellow
B = let's just call it pink
C = let's just call it grey
D = let's just call it navy blue

1. Eye & Eyebrow

( Step by Step Picture Tutorial )

1. Start with bare eyes.
2. I'm using NYX HD Eyeshadow Base to prime the eyes and gently spread the product using ring finger until it completely absorb to the skin.
3. Using Small Dome Brush by Masami Shouko, take pink and put it above your eye crease.
4. This would be the transition color.
5. With Sigma F70 Concealer Brush take grey and place it in the outter of your eye lid area.
6. Slightly blend them in.

7. Don't forget the lower lash line too.
8. This will instantly warm up the eyes.
9. Next is, using Sigma E55 Eye Shading Brush take navy blue and place it in the center of the lid.
10. Just packed it on and push it until the color is pretty intense.
11. Back again with step 5, because you may loose some of the color there.
12. Keep blending with more step 3.

13. I usually bring the transition color towards the inner eyes. This will make your eyes bigger and more open. ( Adjust with your own eye shape )
14. Don't want any harsh line, Sigma E40 Tapered Blending will be your BFF.
15. Moving on, using Sigma E70 Medium Angled Shading take yellow and place it under your brow bone.
16. Just flipped the brush and take yellow again to highlight the inner corner of the eyes.
17. And you're pretty much done with the eyeshadows.
18. Next step is the liquid liner. I'm using Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner in Black.

19. Make a cute wing liner that flattered any eye shape that you have.
20. I'm taking Silkygirl Funky Eyelights Pencil in Pure Purple to my waterline. Just give a nice pop of color there.
21. Then quickly filling the eyebrow with some eyebrow powder. For this, I'm using one eyeshadow color from my NYX Nude on Nude Eyeshadow Palette with Sigma Small Angle E65 brush.
22. For my liking, I like to extend the tip of my brow as well.
23. Set the eyebrow with some eyebrow mascara. I'm using Dolly Wink Eyebrow Mascara in no 3 Cocoa.
24. Put on some mascara. My favorite double up mascara are The Falsies Volume Express Waterproof Mascara in Black + Max Factor False Lash Effect in Black

And here's the finish eye :D *wink*
Goss, I need to stole your trademark this time. sowwyy :P

Okey. I'm gonna cheat a bit and put my half cut falsies to my outer eyelashes.
Need to feed those poor lashes, babey! wii~~

For the eyes, you're pretty much done!
*fiuhh*
The edit took so long this time.
And sorry for the different lightings in some of the pictures.
Tried my best and I'm working on it! :P

2. Face & Cheeks

Foundation : Krayolan Supracolor in 3W

Bronzer + Highlighter : Aloha V-Line Slim Maker

3. Lips

 That's it everyone.

I hope this post helpful for you.
Let me know if you have any questions!
I'll get back to ya! :D
