✄ DIY Sunday : Eyelashes Organizer ✄

hehe.. this is just my share in how I store my false lashes collection. ^^

I kind of been a little obsessed about false lashes lately. #pheww

And what I mean by obsessed, I also appreciating even more in how someone make an effort just to create a single pair of false lashes! Yes, I really do. 
It's work of art you know! lol. 
 That's why, I really wanna take good care to what I have. For my own collection, I know it's not a lot.. but I'm happy with what I've got. :) 

In my late discoveries lately.. Oh my! I just knew that there were sooooo plenty variant of false lashes a possibly can be! I mean.. how come? I'm amazed. lol.
Even for a simple natural everyday lashes, you'll gonna see a lot of designs!
Haha.. that is quite FUN!

And since I got a couple collections ( hehe.. fyi : I don't use false lashes for everyday.. it's just for creating a look for the sake of this blog ^^v ) that's why, I quite have different types of false lashes that I need to restore and so I can use them again in the future.

And this is what I came up with..

 TADAA! :D

It's so organized that sometimes inspired you to be creative and create more Makeup Look, right? ^^ haha..

And from the result picture, maybe you'll already figure out how I made it. It's so easy, comes from a material that easy to be found as well.. but let's just hope I give you a good idea for your beloved falsies' organization, yeah? lol.

And here's How I made it..

The tools that you'll gonna need :

• Eyelash curler replace rubber band ( I found in the Strawberry Store for the cheapest. IDR 4000 rupiahs or $ 0.40 US Dollars for 3 pairs! :D )

•  Your scattered eyelashes that need to be organized :D

• A.file case or holder ( the one I'm using is for A4 paper size ). It holds 18-20 pairs of lashes! :D Found in the nearest bookstore like Gramedia, Paperclip, etc.
• Gift wrap, magazine, or any cute scrapbook paper as the background.
• Glue ( I'm using UHU ).
• Scissor.
• Ruler.
• Cutting Mat. 
• Pencil or Pen.

And you're good to go! :D

 First, cut off the paper as the size of A4 so it fit to the file holder nicely.

I cut extra 2 thick papers at the back, because I was using a thin gift wrap.
The 2 stack papers give a nice weight and structure to it.

 Second, place them to the holder.

 Third, place all eyelash curler the rubber band to the paper.
As I was using a paper that already have a grid, it's just make the world easier for me. :D

Lastly, place all of your eyelashes there And you're pretty much done! ^^
 It's so easy, right?!

 Don't you LOVE looking at them?

DIY : Leopard Accesories Holder

DIY Project, anyone?

This time I'm thinking of making a jewellery or accessories holder.

I've been meaning of making this through a toilet tissue roller. Well, I bet it's not new and you can find lots of tutorials on Youtube :D

And adding a twist, I'll make mine with some "left over" fabric and recycled things at my house. And this is what I came up with..

Yey! I'm quite happy with the result, that's why I want to share it.

Unto the tutorial..

Here we go!

Here's how I did :

1. First, the tools that you'll gonna need are :

• Toilet Tissue Roller ( 9 rolls ).
•  Left Over Fabric or Other Unused Clothes ( we'll gonna need black fabric and pattern of choice as an accent ).
• Old Newspaper or Magazine.
• Wood Block ( as a base for it stand ).
• Glue ( I'm using UHU ).
• Scissor.
• Ruler.
• Cutting Mat. 
• Pencil or Pen.
• And you're good to go! :D

Yes, I've been collecting these :D

As for the "left over" fabric, I'm using from my other DIY Project

Unread or Old Magazines.

Wood Block or other hard / sturdy material as a base of structure.

And other familiar tools that you personally need :)

2. Second, to make the horizontal arm of the holder, we need to attach 3 tissue rollers. 

I just glue them with UHU.

And fill them in with squeeze old magazine sheets.

As for the vertical support of the holder, 2 rollers that glued together ( taller support ) and one roller as a short support >> SAME TECHNIQUE.

3. Then cut a black fabric to cover all the arms.

As for the support and the base, I'm using leopard print fabric as a cover.

 covering all the supports ( vertical arms ) with leopard print fabric.

 For the base, 2 wood blocks I tape together. Each function as a base for each of the support.

Cover them with leopard print fabric.

4. Time to put them all together...

 >> sorry, I have to cut the pictures step detail until the finish result, because I lost some pictures in my memory card >,<" I hope you get the detail clearly when you see the end result :)

And there you have it!

Fill them with your favorite accessories :)

It's perfect for displaying my recent go to accessories. Like my current watches, bracelets or bangles and necklaces.

DIY : Magnetic Batik Eyeshadow Palette

Hope it's fabulous!

Here I wanna share my DIY Project that I made recently. Actually, back in the days when I need a palette of my single eyeshadow collection, it's just so hard ti find. And when I found the one I need, the price is just to overwhelmed for me. So, I made this project to fulfill my need in much affordable and FUN way! :D

I always wanted my own a Z Palette, you know the one with a magnetic sheet so we can place our own eyeshadow or blush of choice. But, the price.. -_-" oh well. >,<"

So, this Palette maybe inspired by the infamous Z Palette with my own twist.

Let's get started!

Here's how I did :

1. First, the tools that you'll gonna need are :

• Batik Magnetic Pencil Case. (while I was debating to make it's case from the scratch, I found this awesome Batik pencil case for a very good price! I bet you could find any type of pencil case in other bookstores as well :D)
• Balsa Wood. or any type of constructive material as board layer to the eyeshadow pan. (I'm using balsa as I had it at home)
• Magnets. (choosing this instead of a magnetic sheet because it's way more cheaper! :D As for choosing magnets that we'll need, the thinner the better!)
• Your eyeshadow or blush or bronzer or other depoted pan of choice.
• Double Tape or Glue.
• Cutter.
• Ruler.
• Cutting Mat. 
• Pencil or Pen.
• Ribbon.
• And you're good to go! :D

FYI : Batik Magnetic Pencil Case that I was talking earlier already has a magnetic closure in it. Mine got from Gramedia Bookstore for IDR. 13000 rupiahs >> $ 1.30 US Dollars!! Brand : KIKY. They have lots of different batik pattern as well :D

2. Then, measure the inner size of pencil case so we'll get the length and width. As I'm measuring the height, lucky enough.. we'll able to stack 2 layers of board!

Cut the board (balsa wood) according to our measurement. Twice as much.

3. Moving on, we'll gonna make marks to place magnets into each of the board. To make it simple, just randomly place the pan into the cutting board to know how many pans could fit. In this case, I could fit 4 pans in each board. So, I'll just divide the space with some measurements and make circles as the place of magnets. 

FYI : You can carve the circle into a depth of the magnets. Just to make it a more polish looking :D

4. After that all done, make a simple statement in each board, like so :

Here in the left, I cut a ribbon. This function as a lifter of a board.

For the right board, I cut 2mm board as a second layer height (see picture below)

So far, we'll get something like this :

 2 stack of 2mm board.

 As for picturize, it's function as the second layer height.

 5. Almost done! Now, we can stick the opposite magnets to the eyeshadow pan with double tape or glue.

 For attachment magnet-board I'm using glue, because it's the most secure.

For attachment magnet-pan I'm using double tape, so I could un-attached them easily.

 FYI : If you want, you can add little note so you won't forget the name of the eyeshadow.

And you'll pretty much have something like this :

 First layer : 

Plain board without additional stack. 

 The one with the ribbon on the right side.

The ribbon function as a lifter to the board.

Second layer :   

Additional stack board on the second layer.

 

Place it on top.

 

 And there you have it!

Actually, in making this palette, there are lots and lots possibilities. 

You can either make one from an old pencil case that you barely use >> Wrap with a cute gift paper to make it look like new again... Or, you can use a cardboard that scattered at home >> Recycling is always a good thing!

Well, the possibilities is endless.

You can even save more money for sure, by just recycling what you already had.

This project cost me not more than IDR. 20000 rupiahs >> $ 2US Dollars!
