here's my in depth review for each of the item :)
Packaging wise..
It's in a form of a squeeze tube. Which is better! It has a lovely sweet floral scents. To me personally, I love the smell! So it doesn't bother me that much. :P

☆ L'oreal Base Magique ☆

Price Tag : IDR. 149000 rupiahs ( around $14.90 US Dollars ) / 15ml of product.
Packaging wise..
It's in a form of a jar, thick glass jar which is quite heavy and bulky. Of course another let down is, you have to dip your finger or other tools to get the product. And jar is the fastest place bacteria could grown if you have a dirty hands or tools that bring the bacteria in easily :/
I can see why it's in a form of a jar though. The product is in a thick consistency, more like in between a whipped and a gel texture. It even says that it's a unique blend of silicon oils and soft light powders.
Texture wise..
The color is milky white, but there is a hint of pink in it. No fragrance as far as I recon. The texture is quite easy to blend. well.. it's a thick consistency, so you need to swipe it couple of times before it blends nicely to the skin. The color blend nicely to the skin color and didn't leave a white cast afterwards.
I think the color could be an advantage to my skintone, as it is a rosy color, it could brightens up my face a bit.
Application wise..
For every primer, I like to use the warmth of my finger to blend them. And I only use it for my specific problem areas that I have. Here's the suggested instruction that was given in the packaging :
The Performance!
I would say, it's a great -or I may say- AWE.SOME. face primer for a drugstore product. It last me long until I finish this thing. A good primer for oil control as well. It really fills in my pores or acne scars and doesn't make it look cakey or heavy even if you put full coverage foundation on top. Giving a velvety effect texture to my face. So far, Love it! ♥

☆ Benefit POREfessional ☆

I got this through a giveaway ( read my previous post about that --> click here! ),
but you can check them online --> click here!
Price Tag : $30 US Dollars / 22ml of product.
Packaging wise..
The consistency is more liquidy than the L'oreal one. Which I think it's another plus thing. It sink better on the skin, blend more effortlessly, and I believe the particle is finer and silkier so it fills in the pores or fine lines amazingly.
Texture wise..
The color is more like a skintone, I believe it will be a benefit for people with darker or warmer complexion than a fair skin ( compare to the L'oreal one ). But again, the color blend nicely to the skin color. hence, primer is supposed to be applied before foundation. So.. no need to worry about that, right? :)
Application wise..
For this primer, here the exact instruction written in the packaging :
Apparently, you can use it OVER and UNDER makeup ( in this case, the hint of the skintone color helps a lot! )
The Performance!
I would say, it does fills in the pores and fine lines tremendously AWESOME. Hence, you can wear it alone and become poreless China Doll without need any layer of foundation because the color ( for some of you ) could suit the skintone color pretty well!

All in all..
I would say.. both of the these are a good face primer! The oil control feels the same to me though. I always put it on top of BB cream or foundation, so the specific BB cream or foundation that I use that day take a big roll on the oil control. But, I would gladly say that these two primer really good to make the foundation last all day and stick better on the skin, your skin felt smoother afterwards, glides your foundation application easier, and make your foundation look more flawless!
Maybe if I had to choose one, Benefit feels more improved with the color, packaging, texture, and smell.. oh my! I love the smell :P But again, all in all.. both of the products have a quality that as good as a face primer could give :)

I bought Sephora sets on last December. I got Benefit primer while doing my makeup lesson by expert course. This is so good. Best one in my opinion for oily and acne-pore skin.
