Review & Swatches : NYX 10 Color Eyeshadow Palette in Super Model

Hi lovelies!
How's your day?
I hope it's great! :D

Today I'll be reviewing eyeshadow palette from one of my favorite makeup brand, NYX! :D
I just think that they really had a good quality product, and most of all.. affordable!
Great thing about their eyeshadow are pigmented, buttery and glide on so smoothly.

Actually, this particular product is the first ever 10 color eyeshadow palette when I begin to learn about makeup! Woops, yeah I had it for quite long!
The other day, when I'm cleaning up my dresser, I rediscovered it again and use it again and FALL IN LOVE again! haha.. Have you ever been that?

And holy molly, Why I never made a post dedicated to this palette?! >,<"

oh well.. better late than never, right?
Here we go! :D

 NYX 10 Color Eyeshadow Palette
The Runway Collection
ESP10C05 Super Model

As you can see, inside the palette there is huge mirror and eyeshadow applicator.
But who cares about that, right? All I need is the actual eyeshadow!

Well, yup. I think it's a beauty in a pan :D

 Swatches Time!

.from top to bottom.
.no primer. no base. indoor / artificial light.
>> NOTE -> (*) : finishes

*FIRST ROW*
1 satin* - 2 matte with silver specked* - 3 matte with silver specked* - 4 matte with silver specked* - 5 matte*

 *SECOND ROW*
6 satin* - 7 shimmer* - 8 shimmer* - 9 satin* - 10 satin*

*OVERALL LOOK*

For the eyeshadow :
  • The swatches above need 2-3 swipe to get to the heavy opaque color 3cm long each stroke
  •  All the color payoff is true from what you see in the pan
  • Buttery texture
  • Easy to blend
  • Awesome pigmentation
  • And one downside thing about the color 2,3,4 >> the silver or glittery specked more like a fall out to me. Even the swatches above couldn't capture them, because they already falling off and gone with the wind -_-" ( Well, with primer or base underneath can solve the problem! )

My thoughts
Well, I'm quite pleased with what I got in this palette. They offer such a different finishes with a smoky and deep blue variant of color. The hot pink not forget to mention, is the "diva" of them all.

. zoom in to see detail on texture and finishes .

I personally bought this product at Indonesian multiply market, and for the price, I'm sorry I couldn't remember it. But the price will be IDR. 100000-135000rupiahs ( around $ 10-13.50 US Dollar ). For NYX official site go to http://www.nyxcosmetics.com , for this particular eyeshadow palette -> click here!

DIY : Leopard Accesories Holder

Hi girls!
How's your day?
Hope it's magical! :D

DIY Project, anyone?
This time I'm thinking of making a jewellery or accessories holder.
I've been meaning of making this through a toilet tissue roller. Well, I bet it's not new and you can find lots of tutorials on Youtube :D

And adding a twist, I'll make mine with some "left over" fabric and recycled things at my house. And this is what I came up with..

DESCRIPTION :

Yey! I'm quite happy with the result, that's why I want to share it.

Unto the tutorial..
Here we go!

Here's how I did :
1. First, the tools that you'll gonna need are :
  • Toilet Tissue Roller ( 9 rolls ).
  •  Left Over Fabric or Other Unused Clothes ( we'll gonna need black fabric and pattern of choice as an accent ).
  • Old Newspaper or Magazine.
  • Wood Block ( as a base for it stand ).
  • Glue ( I'm using UHU ).
  • Scissor.
  • Ruler.
  • Cutting Mat.
  • Pencil or Pen.
  • And you're good to go! :D

Yes, I've been collecting these :D

As for the "left over" fabric, I'm using from my other DIY Project
>> From Old Pants into Highwaisted Short <<
( not posted on the blog )

Unread or Old Magazines.

Wood Block or other hard / sturdy material as a base of structure.

And other familiar tools that you personally need :)

2. Second, to make the horizontal arm of the holder, we need to attach 3 tissue rollers.

I just glue them with UHU.

And fill them in with squeeze old magazine sheets.

As for the vertical support of the holder, 2 rollers that glued together ( taller support ) and one roller as a short support >> SAME TECHNIQUE.

3. Then cut a black fabric to cover all the arms.

As for the support and the base, I'm using leopard print fabric as a cover.

covering all the supports ( vertical arms ) with leopard print fabric.

For the base, 2 wood blocks I tape together. Each function as a base for each of the support.

Cover them with leopard print fabric.

4. Time to put them all together...
 >> sorry, I have to cut the pictures step detail until the finish result, because I lost some pictures in my memory card >,<" I hope you get the detail clearly when you see the end result :)

And there you have it!

Fill them with your favorite accessories :)

It's perfect for displaying my recent go to accessories. Like my current watches, bracelets or bangles and necklaces.

Review : Hada Labo Indonesia

Hi girls!
How's your day?
Hope it's fantastic! :D

Do you know the famous skin care product from Japan called Hada Labo?
I bet it's quite familiar for some of you, since it claim to be the best selling skincare products from Japan. ( sold 1 every 2 seconds in Japan! woot woot! )

Even though I heard so many good reviews about the products, i never eager to buy them. Simply it because I need to pre-order them from an online shop because it's not available in my country, and the price is become quite high include the shipping fee. :/

And I'm quite shock the other day when I saw them in my local Watsons! Woah! When I asked the clerk about it, she said that this is the original Hada Labo that already been produced locally. The price is also inexpensive too! yeyy! :D

Without thinking much, I grab 3 products that I'm willing to try. ( I believe there's 6 different products total that displayed in Watsons Mal Kelapa Gading >> 2 types of cleanser --> both in 50gr and 100gr of packages, 3 types of toner or moisturizing lotion and a cream moisturizer ).

And here's what I've got :
Hada Labo Perfect X Simple Ultimate Moisturizing (cleanser type) >> 50 gr.
IDR. 14900 rupiahs >> around $ 1.49 US Dollar
Hada Labo Perfect X Simple Ultimate Whitening (cleanser type) >> 50 gr.
IDR. 14900 rupiahs >> around $ 1.49 US Dollar
Hada Labo Perfect X Simple Ultimate Moisturizing Light Lotion (toner type) >> 100 ml.
IDR. 31900 rupiahs >> around $ 3.19 US Dollar

Hada Labo Perfect X Simple Ultimate Moisturizing >> cleanser type

What it claim for the skin >> High Moisturizing Face Wash. Clean & Keep Skin Hydrated. Maintain Elasticity and Smooth-Healthy Skin.
Specification >> With 2 types of Hyaluronic Acid (AcHA). Removes Dirt and Provides High Hydration for Supple & Soft Skin.
Fragrance Free. Colorant Free.

For the package, it come from a squeezy tube top with a dispense like so :

The product is gel texture, milky color and turn into foam when you rub.
It said fragrance free, that's why I still can smell true chemical compound in the product >.<"

Hada Labo Perfect X Simple Ultimate Whitening >> cleanser type

What it claim for the skin >> Clean & Moisturize. Pure Whitening to Maintain Elastic Bright Skin.
Specification >> With High Purity Arbutin + Whitening Extract + Hyaluronic Acid*. Removes Dirt, Provides Moisturizes & Brightens Skin for Bright Clear & Supple Skin.
Fragrance Free. Colorant Free.
The reason why I'm picking this one too because it claim to brightens skin. Since I know I don't need to be more white, I thought I need this to brightens my dark spots because of acne scaring.

(Explanation of package and texture wise is same like previous product)

Hada Labo Perfect X Simple Ultimate Moisturizing Light Lotion >> toner type
What it claim for the skin >> Maintain Elasticity and Smooth-Healthy Skin.
Specification >> With 3 types of Hyaluronic Acid. With Nano-Sized Hyaluronic Acid. For Supple & Soft Skin.
 Fragrance Free. Colorant Free.
The reason why I'm picking this is it's said spesifically For Oily Skin. While I'm not sure with the other two types of moisturizing lotion, i just go with this one to see how it works on my skin.

FYI : To be honest, I didn't know what to categorize this skincare at first. But the clerk explain to me that this is a type of toner that you use after the facial wash :O

For the package, it come from a handy plaxtic bottle with a dispense like so :

The product is said to be "lotion", that's why in my mind it would be like some kind of body lotion. teehee! It's completely different! it's a translucent liquid, quite runny & watery also takes time to absorb to the skin. But, it felt no sticky at all afterwards. Just like water, it'd absorb and feel no sensation left on the skin.
It said fragrance free, that's why I still can smell true chemical compound in the product >.<"

This is my review for 3 weeks of using.
While I'm still keeping my regular skincare routine that I trust it works for me, I switch my cleanser and toner with these products. Keeping alternately the cleanser ( switching back and forth for the Hada Labo Perfect X Simple Ultimate Moisturizing & Ultimate Whitening ) for religiously 2 times a day. And changing my regular toner with Hada Labo Perfect X Simple Ultimate Moisturizing Light Lotion for also religiously after i cleanse with the facial wash.

Huff. I'm sorry I'm not gonna make a good review about these products.
Yep. It broke me out :'(

>> ermm.. I don't know if there's any factor related. Like, hormonal issue >> usually when i'm having period, one or two pimples will come out... Or, stress issue >> lately I got some freelancing job to do... Or, heartbroken issue >> haha. off the record, i just got a bad break up! :')

But, to conclude that it wasn't works on me and I had to stop using after 3 weeks of testing it out ( see pictures below ) :

My face condition Before using :

My skin type is oily in whole face, that's why it shine everywhere! >,<"
Acne scaring around my chin and forehead.
But pretty clear around my cheeks.

My face condition after 3 weeks :

>> WARNING! SOME HORROR PICTURES BELOW! <<

Seeing these pictures even make my heart sink :'(
As you can see, my skin reacted pretty bad :"(
Red pimples and even loads of mild pimples on my cheeks, chin and forehead.

For everyday, I never wore foundation or BB cream, only some concealer on my acne scaring and compact powder or blotting paper to kill the shine. With this condition, even to cover them, I had to use 2 coats of BB cream or heavier foundation + concealer.

Having this condition, still I need to test out even further.
If I go back to my regular skincare regimen and still find this condition (for a period of time off course), I would know it's not entirely because of these products >> like I said before, so many factors related :)

But if other way, I would claim that Hada Labo just not suit me.
And it maybe different in every skin and person :)
