Well, as magic as I step into an event that I was invited from the other day.

It is the launch of the new series from Garnier Skin Naturals :

"Sakura White"

 with a Japan theme decoration to welcome us.

and a mellow ambience of purplish pink lighting on the inside.
where there will be a little chit chat - talk show about the product info in the middle of the room.

 

The advertising beauty banner already says a little bit from the product offering.

"If you wanna get a radiant pinkish complexion that will make you look fresh and had -shy shy cat- happily rosey flush in the cheeks, try this product!" well.. said by me. not by the official advertisement itself, of course! lol.

In this Garnier Skincare Sakura White series, the ingredients is infused with Japanese Sakura extract, because it is believed as the key ingredients to create pinkish radiant skin that reflects youth and liveliness!

Just like a beautiful Japanese girl, right? ^^

The beautiful flower itself is also known to contain anti-oxidant molecules. It is rich in whitening actives that are clinically proven to significantly inhibit melanin production, reduce roughness and soothe the skin with its anti-inflammatory actions.

Not just that, another infused vitamins are also added, which is B3 and CG to deeply nourish as it brightens.

I recommend you to try their Sakura White Foam ( the cleanser ) & Garnier Sakura White Mask ( the sheet mask ) as it is my fave from the whole range! But of course if you want a maximum result, try all the 5 variants and see the difference for yourself. ^^

This is a skincare product that I picked up quite a while ago. I've been using it since I bought it for approximately a month, but I don't know why I stop using it since then. With all the hype up advertising lately, do I find this a good product? 

After all, here's my full review :D

As you can see, I'm going to review the MOISTURIZER part, which is The Regenerating Cream that well suited for daytime use, because it contains Olay's exclusive aminopeptide complex and UVA/UVB (SPF 15). It also claim to be rich, non-greasy formula to help visibly reduce the appearance of deep lines and wrinkles, increase firmness and minimize appearance of pores.

I also think this is a more lightweight moisturizer than the Night Cream one. That's why, Regenerist Cream is more suited for oily skin, while Regenerist Night Cream is for dry-combination skin.

☆ The Ingredients ☆

☆ The Product ☆ ( texture, thickness )

There's an extra cap to protect the inside, I suggest to never throw this away.

More safety, more fun! *eugh. sounds like dirty advertising. lol*

The texture is not too thick, nor too runny. After all, it's not a heavy cream.

It's a milky white color with a hint of orangey-pale pink.

To me personally, I like the smell it gives. sort like a calming floral scents.

After it set to the skin, the glow will go away.


What I found here is how it blends. It's not gonna fully absorb to the skin quickly, but need extra time. After that, you would find your skin may smoother, but tend to get greasy ( sticky ) especially I do have a massive oil produce and sweat a lot!


That's why, from that alone, I would never find myself wearing this cream as my day cream that I use below my makeup base. Otherwise, it will melt like wearing ice cream in my face! >,<"



☆ The Result ☆

Maybe from what it stated, this product concentrated on how to make your skin look younger and all that wrinkly, deep lines problems. But I was intrigued to try because I need moisturizer that time and says it could minimizes appearance of pores as well.

As I do not have a wrinkle or deep lines problems ( yet ), I can't say much about that. Above all, preventing is what I do. I tried to use anti-aging formula as early as I could. This may be a good product for that, but I can't tell you for that now.
*ehem. the advertising is just too good to be true. I hope they didn't give an empty hope!*

About the minimizing pores result on my face, I still find it doesn't do anything about that ( yet ). I only use this for a month, and I believe need extra time and care if you want a good result.

After all, it's a good moisturizer.. not the best that I found though. For the price, it could be a great thing to have if you need extra care for that younger looking skin or anti-aging formula. Even I do have very oily skin, doesn't break me out & clogging my pores so far. which is a huge thing.

Battle of the Cheap Moisturizer for Oily Skin : Clean & Clear Clear Fairness VS Sariayu Relaxing Aromatic

And now I'm eager to make comparison about Cheap Moisturizer for Oily Skin that can be easily grab in minimarket or supermarket in my country ( Indonesia ), for a very inexpensive price, off course :D

Clean & Clear Clear Fairness Moisturizer SPF 15 

vs 

Sariayu Relaxing Aromatic Moisturizer in Jeruk (Orange) Normal Berminyak

Oya, I need to remind a thing. I'm comparing this two brands not because I want to "disgrace" either one of them. It's simply because I purchased these almost at the same time and I just test what works for me the best. It could be different result for you. 

It took me about two months just to make sure I get the best result for each of the product. First month just trying the Sariayu, and another month switch to Clean & Clear.

All is simply my honest opinion through my experience :)

Self claim

Actually, in my skincare experience.. I never tried moisturizer ( horrible, I know! >,<" ) Since I have super oily skin, I always thought what's the point in adding extra moisture to my super naturally oil based skin? Yep. WRONG, LADIES! Moisturizer is my new friend lately. Because moisturizing for oily skin and taking care of it, in fact.. it will reduce less oil! All you have to do is looking for a moisturizer that specifically made for oily skin, or simply an oil free moisturizer. And for a simply start, I always "adventure" for an inexpensive product at a reachable place.

Note : For both of these products, unfortunately I can't remember each of the prices. But I paid not more than IDR. 7000rupiahs for each of the items. Price range maybe IDR 5000-7000rupiahs. ( around US 0.50-0.70 US Dollar ) Pretty fantastic for the price, huh? :D

Sariayu Relaxing Aromatic Moisturizer in Jeruk (Orange) Normal Berminyak (35ml)

What it claim : Moisturizer with neroli essential oil as aromatherapy for relaxing effect / Enriched with lime extract to reduce excess oil. (with sunscreen)

For the packaging, it's just a squeezy cute little bottle that has a dispense like so :

For the texture, it's pretty liquidy and glossy like serum that turn into almost-translucent when you put on your skin.

For the smell, sorry I have to say.. it's sooo unpleasant and I almost can't stand of the cheap perfumery fragrance in it. *err -,-"

Clean & Clear Clear Fairness Moisturizer SPF 15 (25ml)

 

What it claim : Clear Fairness moisturizer with innovative formulation, makes your skin bright, with oil free water based lotion keeps your pores clean. Enriched formula and cherry extract helps brighten your skin. Oil control system with a unique rice protein make your bright skin look clean from oil for a longer time, while SPF 15 effective protecting your skin from sunlight. Makes your skin bright and looks clean from oil for a longer time. (Oil free. Won't clog pores)

For the packaging, it's just a squeezy cute little bottle that has a dispense like so :

For the texture, it's pretty foamy and thicker texture than Sariayu. But, kinda leaves you a white effect on your skin. And make it almost like a white cast on your face. :/

For the smell, ahhh I prefer this more than Sariayu! It has a fresh scents and sweet cherry extract in it. *love it*

Side by Side Comparison

Finishes & Texture wise

  

  

     Like what I describe for each of the consistency or texture, Sariayu is a glossy liquid like serum, while Clean & Clear is more like a foam/mousse. Sariayu is more liquidy and runny than Clean & Clear.

     

Honestly.. for moisturizing effect on my skin, I don't feel like both of them make any dramatic result on my face. But putting on moisturizer felt like taking care skin with good ingredients, right moisture more than just natural oil on your skin. My skin feel more supple and dewy in about 3-4 weeks. Moreover, they do include sunscreen to protect your skin as a bonus! :D

But.. I guess, this Final Test that really makes one of them stands out! And become the winner of this battle!

After each one of them set on the skin, it gives different finishes.

 Sariayu still looking glossy, imagine it on the face. It just enhance any greasy looking, which is a big NO NO on oily face.

While Clean & Clear gives an almost matte texture! Yea. the downside probably the white cast ( or whitening effect ) on my face -.-" 

My thoughts

If I have to choose from these two, hands down I would go for Clean & Clear. Yes, the one I purchased is so cheap because it's like a mini sample size. But it last me quite good. For a month of use, once a day, a pea size for the entire face, I feel like it still left me so much product. *thumbs up* And I believe there are more bigger size of product if you want to save a little money for a longer use.
