❦❦ Review : Etude Water Color Blusher in No.1 Pink ❦❦

Hi bubblies!
How's your day?
Hope you all look fabulouss!

Girls, do you agree playing with makeup is another fun of being a girl?? ups, or some boys  nowadays maybe! :P But another story, don't you all remember when we're all a child.. were you the typical artsy kids that LOVE drawing,  painting or coloring at school?
Yep. I'm one of that bunch of kids. always excited with all that fun rainbow colors! :)

And this time, I guess Etude tries to capture that excitement to makeup.
Make painting in the face is such a blast full of joy, right?!

   \ (。◕‿◕。) / wii~~

And this is a review for
Etude House Water Color Blusher in No.1 Pink
4 different shades available for this particular products :
#1 Pink
#2 Coral
#3 Apricot
#4 Lilac

***

As you can see, the packaging is such a fun and uber cute concept! reminds me of my oooold times back in the days. Well, not that old lahh! << make an impression to look young >,<"
--_--a

haha. Anyways, it's in a form of a squeeze tube. which you can control the coming out of how much the product for yourself. And seriously, you just need a teeny tiny bit of dots. since it is too liquidy. and then blend it to both of your cheeks.

The consistency as I mention earlier is more like liquidy. It spread effortlessly, but you need to get used to it until you get a nice blended & natural pinky cheeks.
The color is what I found so sheer while I spread it even on my cheeks for the first layer. It can be buildable, with a dabbing motion technique of application ( with finger or a brush ) and wait a while until it settle to the skin.

 with 2-3 layer of color

 lighting with natural day sunlight

It has that dewy finish but almost matte while it settle to the skin.

It has a fragrance scents, which I'm not a fan of. sort of like an overwhelm soap baby scent for my liking. >,<" but don't worry, it won't stay long while it's on your cheeks.

As for the staying power, for me personally, it doesn't do a good job. as I do have an oily face base, it will be gone within a couple of hours. I think it more suited for a dry skin as it would stick better to that type of skin.

I think it's a unique product. and unlike any other hair care that I have tried.
It was also come in handy, easily spray it to the hair.

☆ The Packaging ☆
This is where I begin the love & hate relationship with cute Etude House product. Usually, I would find some of them were made from a cheap material and got easily broke! >,<" But, gladly I'd say for this, it is from a heavy weight sturdy plastic bottle. Good thing, because it's a liquid inside. You don't want it to be spilled all over the place when there's a high chance to be easily broke, right? BUT. to be concern, it could be a burdensome if you wanna carry it in your purse.

☆ The Texture ☆
The texture is pretty light, non greasy or sticky feeling at all. *huge plus thing*

There's a hint of milky white color in there, but it will be absorbed as translucent.

And the smell is really nice too, sort of a soapy floral fragrance scents to me! And I like it. Could freshen up your mood as well :P

☆ The Result ☆
I always spray this when my hair is dry, or after I blow dried my hair. My hair feels instantly smooth and comb nicely. Also could tame the frizzy lion hair that I got!
But, I would say it's not gonna be a long lasting result ( to change the texture of my dried and frizzy hair in the future ), but this thing help if you wanna get an instant smooth hair ( and smelly nice hair! ) in a minute. The scents also surprisingly last quite long too in my hair! >> up to 6 hours indoor activity.

If you wonder, the finish of this to hair is quite natural. a healthy-smooth glow hair, not a glossy-wet looking finish that what I might imagine at first. lol. so.. *thumbs up*

For now, I love this! and it's affordable too. ( bought online at Indonesian multiply market for around IDR. 60000 rupiahs or 6 bucks! )

well.. I'm a budget conscious when it comes to beauty products, why would you spend so much money if you happy with what you got at such a cheap price? :P hehe.. k. enough for me rambling.
Hope you find this post helpful though!

☆Review : Etude House Drawing Eye Brow☆

Hi bubblies!
How's your day?
Hope you have a great time in your life! :)

This is one of the brow product that I have. To be honest, I pretty much don't do anything for my brows. But occasionally, I like to fill them in when I go to certain occasion so it look more polished in a picture.

This is review for
Etude House Drawing Eye Brow

I got mine in the color 05 Gray

They have a pretty good color selection as far as I can see, but I believe it will mostly suited for dark hair girl.

01 Dark Brown
02 Gray Brown
03 Brown
04 Dark Gray
05 Gray
06 Black

Product Description:
Silky smooth eyebrow pencil fills in, defines and shapes brows to perfection. Ultra-fine tip lightly deposits pigments, mimicking actual brow hair for a natural look that highlights the sparkle of your eyes. For natural looking brows, apply liner with precise and short strokes, following the natural growth of your brows.

As I do have black hair ( with no shade of brown. at all. -_-" ), I like to keep my brow color in the gray family. That's why I choose their lightest gray shade and I thought 05 would be perfect for me without being over done it.

It come with a twist up brow liner and a spoolie at the other end.

What I like about this product is the shape of the liner. It's a slanted rectangle shape. Easy application and effective shape, because it got more angle to draw the eyebrows.
When you hold it horizontally ( flat position - ), it will be useful to draw the edges and the tip of the brows.
But when you hold it vertically ( stand position | ) , it's perfect to fill them in and create a soft stroke.

 Swatches & Application :

As for the application of the liner. It's controllable ( if you push it hard, the stroke will gets bolder as well ) That's why so important to build the color, rather than just one bold stroke that will make your eyebrows look fake and being over drawn.

And for the staying power is just decent. It easily rubbed off and not a waterproof formula. But it stays good on your brows as long as you don't intend to rubbed them off.

And if you're wondering, there's no wax contain in it to keep the hair stay in place. So the hair must be tamed by other product!

To me personally.. this thing is cheap, practice, and easy to use. that's the main reason why I like it. :D

So, here's my before and after pictures

Before :

After :

I always draw my eyebrows when I've done doing my face routine ( concealer - foundation - setting powder ) and applied eyeshadow to balance them all.
So.. sorry for the unfinish makeup look from this picture! :D

Some Etude House's Products That I Regret to Purchase :(

Hi bubblies!
How's everyone doing?
I hope everything's good ya! :)

From the title maybe already says it all.
Yup! these are some misses that I found through this famous Korean cosmetic brand.

believe me, I'm sad by myself :(

Don't get me wrong, Etude House is one of my favorite brand overall because they have lots of cuteness going on and I still find their makeup or skincare products works well on me. But somehow, couple of these things just didn't work on me or I think not as hype as what's been raved about >> my personal opinion, of course :)

So, let's see what I've got! :D

***

1. Etude House Styling Eye Liner AD in 02

I believe they have 01 for black and 02 for white.

Okey. Maybe I can start from what I like first and ended up purchasing this. The color is so very nice to put in inner corner, highlighting brow bone, or in lower waterline to brighten up eyes and make it more doll look. I must admit that. It's a pearly or satiny white color and quite buttery, blendable, and pigmented as well.

my camera can't capture it well, but it come out as satin finish with silver undertone color.

And it's in a twist up pen, which I believe quite practical for traveling or even to use daily.

But, the thing that turn me off is : how fragile this thing is :(
From the packaging into the product itself. I keep breaking the product when I'm applying it to my eyes, even if I did it carefully. With not so many product you get, I'll finish this in a matter of days :(

that's only how much you get. approximately 3cm :(

Not forget to mention, the packaging felt so cheapy, lightweight plastic and not sturdy enough. I BROKE it :)  >>how the hell am I smiling..

Well, I guess this is just a waste of my money. I don't recommend them.

2. Etude House Code B Strong Eyes Cream Liner in #1 Strong Black

This is actually my mom's purchases from the counter because the lady in the counter put it on her. Oh well, mom.. -_-" Actually it's so very nice and black enough to make your eyes stand out.

But, the thing that turn me off is : how fast this thing dries! :( not on your lid, but on the jarl! grrrr..

From the first week my mom uses this ( and because she isn't quite good with gel liner herself ), she ended up just neglect it afterwards on the dresser for another couple of weeks. When I saw it, I kinda wanted to try it and so glad that my mom let me keeping it.. BUT... -_____-" yeah, it already like a stone.

I try to survive it with one of the method i learnt on Youtube >> MICROWAVE!
Because as what I've heard, if we add something to dissolve it, the consistency wouldn't be the same anymore. But I must say, it's a total FAIL! -________-"

even the jar is cracked on ( only ) 30seconds in the microwave :(
when it cooled down, the consistency even more miserable. like a burnt charcoal :/

Also..

see that thing? it's supposed to be the free-mini-travel brush cap, but the cap and the brush were loosely enough so I lost the brush now -_-" not the best packaging. ever. -____-"

Well, I guess this is just a waste of my ( mom's :P ) money. I don't recommend them.

3. Etude House Lovely Cookie Blusher in 01

To be honest, I bought this when I have no such experience with blush color that suit me the best. I thought I was pretty fair enough and that's why I always choose the lightest color every time I bought makeup -_-" Oh well..

The concept is super cute, the packaging is super adorable, even the product itself is easy to work with. had a lovely scents as well ^.^

But, the thing that turn me off is : how pale the color is! It's not flattering color on me. at all. I'm already looking dead if I don't add happy color on my face, and I never intend to be the cast of Twilight either.. so.. yeah. -_-"

Even I don't see it would look good on a darker skin tone color. So, who's gonna wear it? >> well, who knows? I'm not an expert nor experience enough to say this. So, leave my word to myself, okey? :P if it happen to flattering on someone else, it would be sooo good :)

***

So here you go, my not so happily mood when talking about regret -_-"
But need to remind, every person is different.
Finding what suit you the best is through trial and error journey.
It wouldn't ( supposed ) to be a regret if you learn something from the mistake :)
Let me know what you think!
Good day all!
Smile :)

While i was looking for a good toner the other day, I was so captivated by the display of this line in the Etude House's counter. Not like any other Etude House's product, the display of this line is so elegant and expensive looking (while others were cute looking! :P). Well yes, this line have a slight higher price range than the others. While I was reading and observe the products, my heart just fell in love with the Skin [mal:gem] Fresh, because of the description. It's exactly what I'm looking for! :D

I bought it for IDR. 288000rupiahs ( around $ 28.80 US Dollar ) at Etude House counter, Mal Kelapa gading.
Some of the ingredients in the Fresh toner are Water, Alcohol, Bamboo Juice, Lemon Fruit Extract, Orange Fruit Extract, Bilberry Fruit/ Leaf Extract, Sugar Maple Extract, Sugar Cane Extract, Orchid Extract, Panthenol, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Camellia Japonica Leaf Extract, Opuntia Coccinellifera Fruit Extract, Citrus Unshiu (Satsuma Mandarin) Peel Extract and Fragrance.

It also said at the package in how you can applying it :
Since I have no clue what it was said (because the description is all written in Korean), so I'm assuming it from the pictures that it could be use as a toner, or soak it with cotton pads and place it under eye area, or dip in the sheet mask for the entire face, or simply just spray it to the face.

To me personally.. since I got this around 2 months ago, twice a day application, after I washed my face.. I only use it as a toner. By the help of cotton pad, I pour a little product and pat it to my face.

For the packaging, the toner itself comes inside a milky, translucent plastic bottle with a white twist-off lid and contains 250ml.

It has a dispense like so :

The liquid consistency is like a gentle alcohol to me, not overpowering "alcohol type" but it quickly absorb to the skin and could evaporate as well. It's colorless and has a very fresh & fruity scent but it's not too sweet or citrus-like.

As for my REVIEW after using it about 2 months
In each after I use it, It feels immediately freshen my face, make it seems cleaner (it does pick up a leftover dirt that I hardly see even after I washed my face), doesn't dry out my skin, my skin also feel supple and relaxing because of the nice smell in it.

For a longer terms, my skin looks much cleaner and my blackheads seem to disappear (especially the ones on the nose). For me it's a very nice toner and I hope that the oil control will work good as well!
