Review + Swatches : Joey Healy Luxe Brow Powder & Brow Structure Clear Set

Hi bubblies!
How's your day?
Hope you all have a good good oh so good day!
\ (。◕‿◕。) / wii~~

Well, being a "Brow Expert" is indeed my job. That's why, trying out a new brow product is another excitement that I created just to level up my work. Just like a fresh new toy to be playing around for me! haha. :D

And this time I'll be reviewing product from a brand name Joey Healy.
More info just check him out, ladies! ^.* >> @joeyhealybrows

Mmkeh. Just let's go unto the review, shall we? ^^

 ********************************************************

Joey Healy Luxe Brow Powder

 ********************************************************
Just like a luxurious items, this is packaged oh so nicely ( sturdy, plastic packaging ) and inside a leather-feel pocket.

I got mine in the shade called "Tobacco"
and you'll get a nice amount of 15oz / 4gr of product.

The color is a rich dark cocoa color with a greyish brick red undertone color.
More that I can see, this shade is one of the neutral. not too red, not too grey ( among from 3 another shades they provide ) & just nice in between, so I can use it universal to any of my client's skintone.

The pigmentation? Oh I'm amazed.
Just look at the picture when I just gently touch my finger unto it!
♥ The texture felt so buttery like a spongecake.
Minimal chalkiness too, means minimal fall out!
♥ Blend & stick nicely to the skin >> I believe it will make it stay long too.

This is the swatches on my hand.
Left : when I just swipe it once.
Right : when I swipe it 2-3 times and blend it to the skin.

Overall thought for this product :
This is a really really good high pigmented brow powder product.
When it comes to a brow product, you know. highly pigmented eyebrow color could be your heaven or your disaster.
To me, this is one of a brow product that you have to get use to it. If you already master it, you can even create from a sharp bold brows into a natural looking soft baby brows. Just play on the blend technique and the way you applying it.
And of course, unto the next concern about this product in my opinion. This doesn't come with a brush. So, finding the right tool to pair with this baby is another heaven that I still need to seek.

TIPS
Above all the rave that I've mentioned, I found kinda bit of a cons as well.
This powder could be a challenging if you have an oily skin or just a wet surface skin, the powder would blend harder and hard to get removed.
Usually, I would make the entire skin around the eyebrow area covered with a powder first ( remember : powder will be easier to be blend with another powder ) or maybe my favorite is with a base eyeshadow : mac soft ochre paint pot >> PLUS it's a primer. it will make it even last longer too.

Yes, once again. my tips that you cover all your entire eyebrow and around it with a powder first. to make it blend nicer and enhance the true color even more.

 ********************************************************
Joey Healy Brow Structure Clear Set
 ********************************************************

What can I say, I need this.
This is like a clear brow usual mascara. Just like a hair gel or a hairspray to keep the wild hair stay still. In my work, I always always keep the volume of your natural hair eyebrow with the most minimalist trimming process. Which I believe, your length of eyebrow hair function as a cover the next sparse of your overall eyebrow. However, you still need this baby to do that work!

Again to me, the packaging is another hit.
The bottle is quite heavy, but I believe it is a good material as a structure to keep the product nice and safe.

This is a nice leather-feel pocket as the cover they given too.

The wand is huge for an eyebrow to be honest!
It is the size of a normal mascara wand!
But in my defense, I like it. It pick up the product in a nice amount as what I needed too.

Overall thought for this product :
Have you ever wear a hair gel? Same concept with this.
It keep the hair sleek, stay still, neat. But in the end of the day it may weight the entire hair down if you have such an intense outdoor activity, I would say. But for a normal busy activity, not too much sweat, or non-military activity, etc. haha. Don't worry, you'll fine! and your eyebrow is gonna still looking fabulous by the end of your day.

So this is the product applied to my clients the other day.
I love the result! as it still gives a nice definition and looking natural as your hair color.

As seen on my instagram account @heyyyfel

For the super talented upcoming singer superstar as my client @yurayunita

And my superrr fabulous prettteyy lady right here! @uchiet

So, have you tried any of the Joey Healy product ladies?
What's your thought?

✿❀ Makeover Cosmetics Review ❀✿

Hi bubblies!
How's your day?
Ah.. hope it's always magical & marvelous ya! ^0^

It's been a while that I made a blog post review.
And longgg awaited, especially for this one for me to make! haha.
This are all the items that I got a chance to play with, when it comes to MAKEOVER Cosmetics brand.

First of all, Yes. This is our local Indonesian cosmetics product
Although.. I might say, it kinda loses the "big picture" from our culture  ( means : our ethnicity & exoticism image,  like Sariayu or PAC. the other top famous cosmetics brand in Indonesia ) in their themes and vision, << MAKEOVER is more like a dreamy-quirky-feminine-fun-European style of beauty >>, but I believe the purpose of this brand is also to make any kind of Indonesian women been beautified and prettified with their stuff as well.

Well.. who doesn't love that idea, right??
(人´∀`*)

♚♚♚

These are all the goodies that I've got and been collecting. Since I won my very first IBB MUC ( Indonesia Beauty Blogger Makeup Challenge ).

related link you might want to read as well :
❧❦ Makeup Look : My Kind of Rose De La France by MAKEOVER ❦❧

So, without further a due, these are my thoughts of each type of products from them.
I'm gonna cover them in 3 big subs :
{ EYES }
( Trivia Eyeshadow, Powder Eyeshadow, Eyeliner Pencil, Liquid Eyeliner )
{ LIPS }
( Ultra Shine Lipstick, Lip Liner Pencil, Creamy Lipgloss & Liquid Lip Color )
{ COMPLEXION }
( Ultra Cover Liq. Matt Foundation, Camouflage Cream Face Concealer, Perfect Cover Two Way Cake, Blush On )

*haha.. you might want to grab some popcorn while reading this oh so long post, ladies!*
:D :D :D

*******************************************************************************************
{ EYES }
*******************************************************************************************
Trivia Eyeshadow
For this trio color pressed powder eyeshadow, I got 3 that I can show you full swatches. Indian Summer is part of their previous collection which is "Rose De La France", while Enchanting Nude Spell & Magical Fairy Tale is from their newest collection for Spring/Summer 2014 Collection called "Le Secret Fantaisie".
  •  Great pigmentation.
  • Buttery smooth in texture, and spread nicely. Make them easily to blend as well.
  • But they rather chalky and has some fall out too if you pick up too much of the powder, especially the matte one. So, pick up the color sparingly. Build the color little by little to intensify the color. ( Of course, with the help of a sticky base or a good primer solve the problem too ^^ )
  • Some of the finishes are mostly shimmery-satiny finish in every quad. You will rarely get a matte, but exception for Enchanting Nude Spell. You'll get 2 beautiful matte of milky and chocolaty color there.
  • They lean on to create a dreamy feminine and sophisticated color. So all I can judge from the collection that I got is, it's mostly warm, settle color ( which I believe suit yellowish Asian skintone color better ), but lack of strong, cool, or even acidic color to stand out more. >> Well, I believe that's only my personal taste in order for me to be able to create a crazy eye makeup as my usual hobby, yes?! ^0^ lol.

Powder Eyeshadow
This are pigments that I believe so much way you can play with and just be creative. I got Rockin' Blue and Gold. They both have different finishes somehow. While Rockin' Blue is leaning towards satiny and foiled finish, Gold is more like a crashed glitter. Both are finely milled in texture.
Of course playing with loose pigments like this could be challenging. Tricky to apply, could get all over the place, you deal with fall out definitely ( if you using it alone ). And they don't have a good staying power to stay put on the skin. >> Sticky Base, Primer, Mac Fix+ will be your BFF!
But so much more I can say, pigments are a very versatile and multifunctional items that every Makeup Artist or even someone who loves playing with makeup should own. :)

Eyeliner Pencil
 This? ugh. may-zing.
haha.. I'll just let you know straight to the point! :P
  •  Awesome pigmentation. Intense color.
  • Glides on literally like butter.
  • Creamy in texture.
  • Great staying power as well if it's already set on the skin. As long as you don't rub them purposely, it is smudge proof and waterproof.
  • Could be use as a base color eyeshadow and you can smudge them before it sets.
  • But, the weak point is : it's too fragile. Break easily because it's too soft.
  • Sharpening this baby could waste a product, and this thing need to be sharpen every time you use it. Jadinya boros. Cepet abis. I ran out of this pencils pretty quickly. >,<"

Liquid Eyeliner
Okey, this thing I just got recently.
  • It gives a glossy finish as you can see in the picture. Not completely matte. You'll see like a gloss on top of it if you swatch it more than 2-3 times.
  • You can build the color, intensify the blackness as you want.
  • Even though it's a stiff brush, you can create a thin or thick line with it.
  • Good staying power! But it's the type of a hardened liquid that when it's already set, it could cracked.
  • Surprisingly, even though it last long on my eyelid, removing this is pretty easy ( wait around 30sec until the eyeliner dissolved with a cotton ball filled with a makeup remover, then swipe it gently ) So you don't need to tug on your delicate eyes too much. which is good.

*******************************************************************************************
{ LIPS }
*******************************************************************************************
 Ultra Shine Lipstick
I got 3 gorgeous gorgeous color that kinda excites me. 02 Brunet Pink is a nude peachy pink color, 13 Everlasting Kiss is more like a nude browny pink color, and 03 Artful Amethys is a soft fuschia color.
  • They are quite opaque when delivering the color, mostly have a shine finish on the lips.
  • Felt moisturizing.
  • Buttery smooth in texture.
  • Doesn't move to the outer rim that much, stick nicely on the lips.
  • Staying power is very typical for a lipstick.

Lip Liner Pencil
This almost felt the same texture, staying power, etc. like the pencil eyeliner.
The color is perfect for a nude lipstick.

Creamy Lipgloss & Liquid Lip Color
The creamy lipgloss felt so moisturizing to be honest. Just give the lips some life, especially to my driest lips. lol. Buttery smooth in texture and a good gloss on top of nude lipstick color.

Well, hey-llo to the Liquid Lip Color!
I kinda amaze that this product actually has a good pigmentation. You can wear it alone, but this product also good to intensify any lip color! Not too sticky, not too liquidy in texture... Yup, I kinda like this stuff!
Great job, Makeover! <3

*******************************************************************************************
{ COMPLEXION }
*******************************************************************************************
Ultra Cover Liq. Matt Foundation
It claims : "with soft focus agent, this foundation will gently deliver natural coverage while helps blurring black spots, fine lines and wrinkles."
  •   This foundation deliver a matte finish. clearly it said.
  • Gives a medium to heavy pigmentation. Medium coverage. ( Means : even out skin tone or even cover hyper pigmentation, but when it comes to a blemishes, you need more dab of a concealer ).
  • Great range of colors!! <3 You can see & click my previous post link above!
  • Oil control is so so for me. I'm super oily, I need to blot in every 3 hours. And even though it already matte, I still need powder to set everything liquid on my skin. to make it last longer too.
  • Staying power is good. Last the entire day if you don't do any extreme outdoor activity. ^0^
  • You'll definitely feel you are wearing foundation on your skin. Quite thick, that's why I can see crack on my laugh lines and fine lines in the end of the day.
  • TIPS : A good technique of application ( using flat top buffing brush >> sigma f80 is my fave! ) and a good primer or a base is another way to enhance the performance of this foundie too! ^__^

Camouflage Cream Face Concealer

Oh my. I love this! And been using this concealer in my daily makeup basis. :D :D

  • As you can see, pigmentation is another hit for this concealer!
  • Coverage to my blemishes is medium to be honest.
  • I can use the light beige color as an under eye concealer too! It doesn't settle on my fine lines as as long I prepared them good and set with a finely milled powder.
  • My favorite thing is to use the light beige color as a clean up to my brows and any winged out sharp edges eyeshadows.
  • I can use all of these colors in the palette as my highlight, contour, and color correcting! ( I am more like NC20 ish in MAC foundie, as a guidance ).
  • I can use the color as a sticky base to intensify my eyeshadow color.
  • Feel so smooth, creamy. but still stick nicely on the skin.
  • But to my cons, they should've sold the color separately too. I use the light beight color too much, that would be a waste if I bought the entire palette just to refill a specific color that I want.

Perfect Cover Two Way Cake
Ugh. this are a heavy duty powder. A powder foundation type of thing.

  • They are smooth and felt velvety on the skin.
  • Great range of colors!
  • You can always play with the coverage & finishes with the right tool. ( Buffing brush, kabuki brush, or sponge for a heavier coverage. a big fluffy face powder brush for a lighter coverage or as a setting powder >> more natural finish ).
  • It claim to be "water-insoluble formula helps maintain skin moistness and prevent skin dehydration." I guess, with a good infused ingredients such as jojoba oil to keep skin moistness & vit. E as a good antioxidant and skin conditioning, will make me believe this powder to perform like that.

Blush On
Okeh. last one is the blush.
  • This are a highly pigmented blush, too pigmented in fact. So you need a light handed while swiping this across your face. Otherwise, you'll end up looking like Jeng Kelin, I must say.
    *woops!*
  • This powder is easily to blend though.
  • You'll get an extra blush brush from the packaging. I won't even bother tbh., just using your usual big fluffy blush brush, would enhance the finish gives to the cheek. and help to sheer them up in case you pick up too much of the product.

♚♚♚

 Overall Thoughts
Well, what can I say. I love MAkeover in terms of their quality of a makeup and the price point! To me, this are a treasure if you are just someone who is in the beginning of playing with makeup, or a starter makeup artist. They have a good range of shades and colors in the complexion section. They perform well too.
In each of the items also covered with a sleek, yet sturdy packaging. Look so professional!

❀ Love love!! ❀

Review + Swatches : Urban Decay Vice 2 Eyeshadow Palette

Hi bubblies!
How's your day?
Hope you're doing magnificent no matter where you are rite noww!
I'll send all my love for youuu :*

So todaaay I am back with another review.
And this time is to one of the most stunning eyeshadow palette that I've been longing for sooo loongg. Since it came out.
Urban Decay Vice 2 Eyeshadow Palette
<3

What it says : If eyeshadow is your vice, here's the ultimate fix : 20 BRAND-NEW shades, plus a double-ended Good Karma brush. Experiment with insanely cool brights, not-your-average neutrals and sexy hits of smoke, all in our decadent, revamped formula. Even the presentation is luxe. With the touch of a button, the jewel-inlaid case opens slowly, seductively, to unveil all that gorgeous eye candy. Ah, sweet addiction.

.
.
.

This is just the most magical thing that ever cross my eyes... *_*
I mean.. look at that beauty! It sold me already! :D

And when you open the inside, you'll get such a wonderful 20 BRAND NEW eyeshadow shades from Urban Decay. ( 20 x 0.8 g POIDS NET/NET WT. 20 x 0.03 oz )

The packaging came with a mirror inside.
It's pretty handy when you need it on the go.. hmm... oh no. need to correct.
I mean, a GENEROUS size of portable mirror! :3

It's the type of pushing the black label there.
and it will be automatically wide open for you.

It is also came with a dual ended "Good Karma" brush.

Perfect for packing in eyeshadow ( top - flat type brush ) and blending ( bottom - round type brush ).

I don't have much words for this, except it's a good quality synthetic brush.
And I would reach this brush if I ever gonna do eyeshadow on the go, since it came perfectly fit in the palette.

The Eyeshadows

The Swatches
no primer. no base. under indoor artificial lamp ( night ) & lighting day sunlight.

First Row
Smoke Out - Lovesick - Shellshock - Coax - X Rated

For this particular row, I would theme this group of color as :
"Romantic Rebellious"
XD lol.

Because to me, this row consist of the mixture of both dark smokey and ultra feminine color.

Smoke Out - is a satin finish black shade. The texture is very creamy and spread oh so nicely. When you pack this color on your lid, it stretches like a dream and almost without even a fall out! I mean, all of this shades in the palette are such an amazing amazing quality to begin with. ^0^
Lovesick - is a matte deep charcoal grey with silver specks in it. To be honest, I am quite disappointed with this shade. As you can see.. at the first picture swatches above ( the one with the indoor lighting view ), this shade felt dry and hardly come out after couple of use. At first layer, it is sooo smooth like Smoke Out. But it was only for the first impression I guess :( And I only found this case for this specific shade alone.
Shellshock - is a jewel tone silver color. Seriously, the best gun metal and bedazzled silver shade I've seen. This is by far my personal favorite for it's quality! :D
Coax - is a shimmery valentine pink shade. This shade is a true heartbeat to create a romantic look :)
X Rated - is a satin finish bubblegum pink. What can I stressed even more? bubblegum! PINK! yes. LOVE this shade without a doubt then. :* #smooch

Second Row
Prank - Madness - Strike - Stash - Poison

For this particular row, this is a perfect shades for :
"Fall Season"

When you look at it, don't you just feel an instant warmth of fall weather in your heart?
haha.. it does on me :))

Prank - is a darken matte blue-ish green-ish with teal color specks in it. As you spread it on the skin, it's almost like a charcoal grey, to be exact. But I guess with a certain base color, this would be a stunning unique color without a doubt.
Madness - is a shimmery blue-ish teal color. I imagine this shade would be stunning as a pop of color for the lower lash line!
Strike - is a shimmery gold shade. This color is just look soo expensive and luxurious. As they say.. gold is a girl's best friend, right? Or am I just made that up? *it's diamond, fell.....!! diamond that is a girl's best friend.....* lol. XD
Stash - is a stunning falling leaf color! This green shade just the star to create a perfect FALL look. It also has sort of silver specks in it. But it still, screams FALL right away, don't you think? :3
Poison - is a green-ish charcoal with multiple specks color in it. This shade slightly has a fall out and quite chalky comparing to the rest of the dark shades. And this shade overall stunning color standing next to Stash.

Third Row
Radar - Damaged - Voodoo - Betrayal - Derailed

This row, I would theme this group of color as :
"Pop Icon"

Haha.. And to me, this is my personal favorite row. Lovee the pop of purple and green color that Urban Decay throw in to this palette!

Radar - is a shimmery bronze-y color with silver specks in it. Stunning color! And I bet this shade is looking awesome in every skin tone color.
Damaged - is a shimmery christmas-y green. And this type of green my friend... is a stand out color to put it on your eyelid! trust me.. :D
Voodoo - is a shimmery darken purple with purple specks in it. As a purple lover, I know this shade is just so on point to create a purple smokey look. You. just. need. this. in. your. life, girlfriend...
Betrayal - is a shimmery bright metal purple. This is another whole new dimension of a purple shade. one word. MAGICAL. #weeee
Derailed - is a shimmery darken taupe color. This color screams "sophistication" to me. Among of all the fun shades in this row, this color stands out to be different and serious. A good serious >> Sophistication. :D

Fourth Row
Dope - Toxic - Habit - Ambush - Rewind

For this particular row, I would theme this group of color as :
"Feminine Neutral"

Because to me, this row is a dazzling neutral pinkish color. Perfect to create first date look, or even everyday soft makeup look.

Dope - is a satin finish pinkish neutral color. I don't know what this palette would work without this color existence. This is the shade that tone down all of the heavy colors above.
Toxic - is a shimmery rose gold color. This is just beautiful on its own. Pretty oh so prettyy...
Habit - is a creamy beige nude color. This shade has the most creamiest texture. When you feel it, it almost like a MAC painterly paint pot! Great transition color or just act as a base color all over lid after a primer. Awesome.
Ambush - is a shimmery reddish brown color. This shade would be oh soo pretty to be put on the outer crease. Give a great depth of dimension to the eyeball, also brighten them up because of the reddish undertone in it.
Rewind - is a matte chocolate shade. For a matte finish, I find this shade is quite creamy in texture. easy to work with and blends nicely as well. It is overall goodness. :)))

.
.
.
.

All in All..
Well yes, this palette is a piece of jewellery in any makeup stash.
Having this is like a privilege to glam up the eye look.
And that's the perfect describe to answer : Do you need or want this in your life..
or perhaps, your beauty needs in this case.

It's back at ya that could answer the question :)))

.
.
