IBB First Jakarta Gathering

So, I was attending the First ever IBB (Indonesian Beauty Blogger) Jakarta Gathering Event that was held in Coffee Cabin, Kuningan Junction. 

The event was suppose to be at 11pm.. but it was kinda late to start with, so we begin by having lunch, chat a little to other member, getting to know each other.. then we officially start the event with Stella Lee and Mada Foe as the host and we could introduce ourselves and our blog.

To be honest, I was flattered to meet them all. They were all even nicer in person ^--^ In this section we all shared our thoughts and missions in making our own blog.. Not forget to mention, our hopes in the future throughout the blogging journey. Hearing it, makes me more inspired by each of the individuals. ^__^

Games

Moving on to games.. To make the atmosphere more hype, Stella Lee and Mada Foe even create games and including prices! I was kinda surprise by that. woohoo! I was playing the first game which is "2minutes smokey eyes". In this games, I got to be paired with Carryn. She was the makeup artist and I was the model. We have to create a smokey look within 2 minutes! blah. Luckily I just need to sat there and let Carryn do the magic. lol.

  Other competitors are Marcelle-Nisa and Rilla-Merry

The second games is pretty funny. It's called "5second red lipstick". Well, kinda relief I was on the first game, because this time the makeup artist got to put the red lipstick to the model with BLINDFOLDED. hem. Turn out to be exciting. LOL.

For all of the games, no one is the winner! We all got a surprise "price" in the end. How exciting is that?! Thanks Mada, Thanks Stella.. *kecup basah*
Moving on from the games, we play a little trivia and Q&A with all the members. Such an experience that I could learn from all of them. ^____^

And then after that.........

Yak. no need to explain further more. You can see from the body language and karaoke monitor what is all about. SNSD is in the house yo! lol.

Review & FULL Swatches : 88 color Eyeshadow Shimmer Palette

This item is a part of my collections that I've been selling.

And here is the review of the eyeshadow palette that I'll be displaying on my

 BLOG SALE

Even though I'm selling and make a profit, I'll be honest to make a review about it.

And this palette, that me and my friends got is originally from HongKong Company that distributed their items to US. (I believe the quality is like other famous eyeshadow palette) But, for this particular eyeshadow palette that we're selling, it has no brand.

I'll be reviewing and swatching from one of our collection which is

  88 Color Eyeshadow Palette Shimmer

The Ingredients

You can see from the back of the package what the ingredients containing for making these eyeshadows :

The Container

Unlike the 120 color Palette that I previously reviewed --> click here! , for this particular palette the texture of the package is made from a glossy reflected texture. ( I bet it reminds you for other famous *uhuk-scents-uhuk* Palette, right? :P )

The Colors

And for this particular palette, It only has a shimmer finishes.

The Dimensions

The Textures

I find the texture is so soft and buttery. And yes because it shimmer you would find the pigmentation is beyond your control sometimes and you would experience fall out in some of the colors. The colors are very true from what you see in the pan. It all blend easily and effortlessly.

The Swatches 

These are all of the swatches. One swipe, No Base, No Primer, At Direct Sunlight.

I'll find if you wear a good primer or base underneath, it'll pop out the color even more, easier to blend and the color will stick and last longer.

 

 

Overall, it's a good eyeshadow collection to invest or play around with. I do have a pretty fair skin, the color maybe a little off from my hand through the swatches I made, but the individual color is definitely so so gorgeous. I promise you :)

Review + Comparison : The Pink Sponges

 

Oh The Phenomenal Pink Sponges!

Maybe once on my previous post, I mentioned that the raving of The Mother of all the Pink Sponges : Beauty Blender is too overwhelmed for me.

Yea, despite the crazy price for A sponge, I find myself fill in my curiosity by purchasing one of the set. >,<"

I believe the retail price is around $26 US Dollar. (double beauty Blender)

But I got it for IDR. 285000rupiahs (around $28.50 US Dollar) through a friend of mine.

And as you guys know, I also been purchasing another pink sponges from Etude House ( on the previous post --> click here! )

And for the third comparison, I'll be reviewing another "dupe" pink sponge called BEAUTY SPONGE.

Here are the 3 sponges that I'll be comparing :

Beauty Blender, Beauty Sponge, Baby Doll Puff

Color, Shape, Diameter

As you can see, Beauty Blender has the most vibrant pink color among them. (But unfortunately, that color will fade away and it might leave to your cosmetic or foundation? Well, that's what I heard >,<") While Beauty Sponge is more like a baby pink color and Baby Doll Puff is like a darken pink.

For the shape, Beauty Blender is famous for it's egg shape. Egg shape apparently is more likeable in terms of rolling the foundation to blend them nicely (according to Makeup Geek). However, Beauty Sponge has the same exact shape and grip to Beauty Blender. While on the other hand, Baby Doll Puff has a different shape which is perfect for grip and dabbing (read : bouncing motion) the foundation to the face (according to Goss Makeup Artist).

Even though you might see the different of shape between Baby Doll Puff and the other two, surprisingly, they all have the same diameter, which is 11cm.

Texture, Bounciness, Pores

For the texture, I gotta say Beauty Blender is the winner of them all. The surface is so very soft, it bounce like there's no tomorrow and has the smallest pores which will leave you a flawless finish.

While Baby Doll Puff has slightly bigger pores and didn't bounce as much as Beauty Blender. But it has a more "tough skin" or I might say it made with more solid material.

For this different characteristic, it has it's own minus and plus points. Beauty Blender will easily get ripped if you have a long and sharp nails while Baby Doll Puff is tougher and gonna survive for more.

While for Beauty Sponge, if I have to compare between those two, the pores is softer than Baby Doll Puff but not as smooth as Beauty Blender. The bounciness for this material is more like Baby Doll Puff because it has more sturdy and solid feel to it.

Damp into water

And another famous part in terms of Beauty Blender, when you soak it into water, the sponge will expands to nearly double it's volume. This technique I believe is used to avoid the sponge absorbing all your makeup products.

For the Beauty Sponge, it also will expands after you soak it into water. But it won't get as twice as big as Beauty Blender does.

While for Baby Doll Puff, it won't getting bigger. It keep the size like the first you saw it.

Beauty Sponge is as almost as tall as Baby Doll Puff, while Beauty Blender is getting bigger like there's no tomorrow.

And all I can feel after I damp all the sponges into water, Beauty Blender and Beauty Sponge are amazingly feel tighter. Meanwhile for Baby Doll Puff, since it won't getting bigger, it leave all the excessive water into the surface of the sponge (even if you already squeeze it) and kinda feel heavier afterwards.

To me personally, this different characteristic of each sponges doesn't determine who will be the "Winner of the Sponges". It leads into the finishes that you're looking for. :)

Finishes

I've tried and compare them several times, and yes Beauty Blender gives a flawless and beautiful finish. The texture is so very soft and give a great bounce. And so does Beauty Sponge, I would gladly say.. it gives the same finish like when I use Beauty Blender. But, it just lack a little bounciness than Beauty Blender.
For these two, best work with liquid foundation. If you use it for cream foundation or any other cream products, it will absorb into the sponges and leave a stain that won't go.

And for the Baby Doll Puff, I found the best using it by spray (spray, not damp) with water or MAC Fix+ (to avoid the heaviness and excessive water on the surface) and best work with cream foundation.

I do love makeup, but sometimes when I just want to having fun with colors especially eyeshadow, we need an extra money to get the colors we desired.

The Ingredients

You can see from the back of the package what the ingredients containing for making these eyeshadows :

The Container

It made from a matte texture (not glossy, which can leave a finger prints) and sturdy structure.

For this particular 120 Color Eyeshadow Collection, it split into 2 stacks of color sets. 

And each can separately be moved.

There's a ribbon to pull them out.

The Colors

It has various finishes in 1 palette. Shimmer, Matte and Satin Colors.

The Dimensions

 

The Textures

I find the texture is not so buttery, it's more on the powdery side. But the colors are very true from what you see in the pan. The pigmentation overall are great (especially the shimmer colors), but you might find the matte shade sometimes not so pigmented (which probably you can find this problems too from any higher brand eyeshadows).

I'll find if you wear a good primer or base underneath, it'll pop out the color even more and easier to blend.
