My thought : Bourjuis Healthy Mix Correcting Concealer

Probably you guys know this concealer? 

The Pixiwoo Sister using this for several times in their makeup tutorial :D

Actually, I already have this concealer for quite some time. Maybe 2 months ago? Err.. can't remember exactly the times. Sorry :(

And I also forgot the price.. Maybe around IDR. 110000-130000rupiahs ( or $11-13 US Dollar ) if I'm not mistaken. But, I do remember where I bought it. In Watsons Mal Kelapa Gading. :D

Ya, about this concealer.. hmm

I really don't know what to say..

So, instead a review I will name this post as my thought.. pretty fair, right? hahaha

The packaging

It's from a squeeze tube which could contain 10ml of product, with an outcome like so :

 

It said in the back of the package :

Formula hydratante. ( Moisturising formula )

Non grass. ( Oil free )

Tolerance testee dermatologiquement. ( Dermatologically tested )

This concealer only got 3 shades, which is 51, 52, and 53. ( shades that available in Watsons where I found it ) and I'm in shades 51 according to the lady in the counter.

At that time, I am looking for a concealer. And it's been a debate from me to choose between PhotoReady stick concealer that Mrs. EmilyNoel83 ( Beauty blogger, Youtube Beauty Guru, see her review : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OS6zqKMgdHc) had been raving about or.. Bourjuis. The price is fantastic too! About the half price of Bourjuis.

When I test both product at that time at the back of my hand, honestly, hands down to Bourjuis that give a smoother and better coverage! Yeap, since it is a form of thick liquid, It is a bit easier for me to blend than a mussy solid stick. ( pardon for my lame imagination :P )

Also, it does smell sooooo good :D

I must say, this concealer is light to medium coverage.

Here, you can see how much it could cover my old burning scar at the wrist of my hand.

See? it won't make my spot entirely disappear, but blur it out and even up to my skintone little much.

Despite it good performance, I don't know why when it applied to my under eye area, it became so cakey and ashy. Almost like a fake white to my face. I don't know if it is because of the wrong shade that I chose, or in the way that I'm applying it. I use hand to warm it up a bit, because it tend to dry so fast and become powdery when it dry.

I also try to applying it with my F70 Concealer Sigma Brush, but it got worst. even hard to blend.

Curious, I watched again Pixiwoo Sister when they use this product and steal their technique. Oh okay, they even buff it in with a synthetic blending brush. I practised the same. Oh well.. it gets better and quite blend to the way I want it, BUT it still look cakey and ashy to me, like a bunch of powder underneath my eye.

I'm still curious about this product, though. Maybe it's because my poor technique and my beginner knowledge about concealer? Since it is my first concealer that I have in my life, and I don't have anything to compare with. haha..

But, slightly goes through my mind that it is because of the colour selection.

 This product got a cool pinky undertone while I'm a warm yellow undertone. It will be like a sugar frosting in a chocolate cake. Over contrast. and trust me nothing good when it happen to a face. haha

Overall, yes I am a rookie when it come to applying makeup. Maybe I just need to explore another product and increasing my skill. hehe..
