Review + Swatches : Viva Cosmetics Lipsticks! Pstt.. Our Local $1 Lippies?!

yeah. too much Barney lately -_-" lol.

So, todaay I'm in the mood for reviewing and do some swatching to our local brand lipsticks that I got through a Christmas Swap with Lina on the other day.

It's our local Indonesian brand that famous for its real cheap price!

With total of 53 shades, I think you can't go wrong with all that color choices :D

The price tag? *Do I need to tell?*

IDR.10800 rupiahs ( approximately $1 US Dollars! ) each.

What it says :

Lipstick yang mengandung Squalane dan Shea Butter sehingga bibir tetap lembab dan lembut. Tersedia berbagai pilihan warna.

Cara Pemakaian :

Oleskan Viva Lipstick pada bibir sebelum atau sesudah menggunakan Viva Lip Gloss. Pilihlah sesuai dengan warna make-up dan busana yang dikenakan.

 The packaging is just a typical lightweight plastic tube. I think it's decent quality, but the design could be more well thought. Don't you think? It's looking so plain and oldies, ya? >,<"

For comparison of the size, it's almost the same size like NYX round lipsticks. Decent, and not too small for this real dirt cheap price.

☆☆☆ My Initial Thoughts ☆☆☆

Okey.. hehe.. gotta be honest, these type of color is not my cup of tea kind of shades. That's why I don't use these lippies to go out and stuff. The color make me look more mature & serious! lol. Buuut, I'm willing to try and wear it for this review :)

The color is really beautiful in my opinion. No 50 is sheer and No 51 is more opaque. They are all in rosey kind of shades. For a certain skintone, this might do a great job for you! 

The finishes are all glossy for these two shades that I got. It might be an advantage because glossy finish is safer to NOT accentuate the dryness of the lips.

The texture is buttery and nice, also glides on beautifully. But maybe the downfall, it moves from the lips ( to the rim of the lips ) easily, and transferred easily. That's why you need to reapply in every hour to keep that color vibrant or keep in place.

It has a strong smell. Like a sweet cheap perfume fragrance scents. You can smell it even if it's already on your lips. For a sensitive nose, maybe you want to consider in purchasing these.

All in all.. I quite liking it just to see how I look with different shades of lipsticks. It's cheap, does it's job as a lipstick, great variant of color choices! and has a good ingredients in it as far as I read ( Squalane and Shea Butter that works to moist your lips ).

And maybe next time I will try to explore some other shades besides these two that I got. XD

♡ Quick & Easy Simple First Date Look ♡

So, I've been trying to make another tutorial for a simple

"First Date Look"

a sweet romantic day date look!

Because basically, First Date is when you want to feel beautiful but didn't pile yourself with tons of makeup! Trust me, you want to be you! but more polished, clean & prepared. :D

I tried to use the makeup item that I already mostly wear. Of course, you can adjust with your own. For the the application, with one or two items that I use as a multifunctional item. That's how fun make up is!

You can be creative, and still looking expensive! lol.

The look that I come up with :

Let's Begin!

1. First Step. is never forget to prime your eyes. This will prevent from eyeshadow creasing, the color will show up much more vibrant, and last longer!

 2. Prepare your transition color on the crease. This will make your eyes much more in depth, great technique for blending the eyeshadow as well. Transition color is usually 2 shades darker than your skin tone. Prefer taupe-ish color for natural look. I chose the purple-ish taupe color because it flatter the main color of my eyeshadow today.

3. My main color on the lid is pink. Why not? It screams that you're in love! :) 

I simply dab the color to my eyelid and above the crease a little, so when I open my eyes I still be able to see the color.

 4. I'm avoiding a black eyeliner for the look. Purple is a great option. It is less harsh, a fresh pop of color, and still give definition to the eyes. I make a little wing to the upper eyes and line below my waterline to make my eyes look bigger.

 Time to set the purple liner with purple eyeshadow! 

5. With this technique, you will set the liner so it doesn't easily move or smudge. And, you can blend the liner way more easier to avoid harsh line.

 6. With the same eyeshadow, I also bring it up to my crease. This will shape your eye by making an outer V shadow for a rounder and more open eye look.

 7. Even though I'm avoiding black eyeliner, but I will lining my upper water line with a black kohl pencil. This will make your eyelashes much fuller! :D 

And for my lower waterline, I use a white liner to make my eyes fresh and more doll look! *works everytime! :D

Finish it with a layer of mascara.

Optional, I'm using this flirty false lashes! XD

❧❦ Makeup Look : Peacock Inspired ❦❧

Hope your doing greatttt! :D

So, I was again playing with colors this time.

Fascinated by the exoticism of peacock feather, I thought I'd give it a go to create this Makeup Look.

It was also such an easy way to realize all the color that comes from Sariayu Trend Warna 2013! Yes, one of the trio eyeshadow and the lipstick shade are the main factor for the look! for my full review + swatches of Sariayu Trend Warna 2013 -->  click here!

  Thinking about peacock feather, for the eyes I'm using gradient colors of greens, teal, gold, and some blues. Wrap them all together, on the crease, is an earthy brown color.

soft peachy coral color for the cheeks, and purple-y pinky lipstick as for the lip shade.

Because mine, I think it's already FLAME ON FIRE with splash of Red, Gold and Magenta color! :D

It's a daring look for a stand out gradation of Red eyes and Red lips!

I'm playing with rhinestones in the inner and outer eyes to give a more pop of FIERY effect.
